If only we could retain the unique ability to experience love at first sight, which is how most children absorb certain phenomena, experiences and objects. Children are hardwired to connect with the world; in fact, this is necessary for them in order for them to be able to adapt to their living environment. Therefore, those places, things or experiences which make the most impact on them are truly borne of love. Let’s not ignore these beloved interests when they are expressed by the child. Let’s nurture them and support them, respecting that they come from the child’s individual preferences, and not from our own vision about what their lives might be centered around.
